 "A fogbank on the information HIGH way" 

One of the most difficult hurtles I see in terms of doing any educational work is disinformation is so pervasive that even a 20 ounce "gold nugget of a concept" goes unrecognized.. 

Back in mythical times.. when I was 20.. (yes it seems a very long time ago) we had something called BOOKS.. If you wanted to know about a subject you had to PICK YOURSELF UP and actually go to a store.. Or if you were lucky a catalogue would have come in the mail which would allow you to write a CHECK and wait rather than move a few feet..  Thus information back then had a certain scarcity and what was available at a minimum would require the author to work hard to present something worth paying for.. Information carried a premium.. You had to want it and make a sacrifice to get some.  You had to pay value to get value. 

For you 20 something's of today the only time you are likely to buy a book for anything other than idle entertainment is when you are REQUIRED to pay for it.. And those in university know that text books are pricey.. So pricey in fact that it has to cause a bit of hatred for books.  Just ONE text book can cost an entire month of beer and food money. the reason I bring this up is the text book industry is now a means of force feeding information that is taken seriously ONLY because it costs a LOT. IF a book costs 75 dollars then by god it has to be really true .. er that is what you are supposed to believe..  What if I told you that a vast majority of text books are written to shape your point of view in a certain way..  In today's world it seems the more you pay for information the less value it contains.  Fuax neues seems to know this and they are attempting to charge for on line "news" so that people will perceive it has a value premium and thus must be true.. Oh my!!

When I began online writing and created a web site in early 1996 the net was very much self policing.. If you did great creative work it would spread .. by word of mouth.. This chatter was what we writers counted on for traffic so anyone writing back then had to work very hard to create VALUE content..  Basically no buzz no traffic.  If you produced bullshit it would never get any legs.. The competition to get traction was so intense that after a few years in late 190s I was working 14 hours a day 7 days a week just to maintain my well earned status as the best web site in my field. 

So what happened?   In PARTICULAR after 911??  Something called THE OFFICE OF SPECIAL PLANS.  This was tax payer funded PURPOSEFUL DISINFO designed to "fool" the so called "enemy".. The vast majority of citizens had NOT A CLUE that the so called enemy this mountain of BS was directed at was staring them in the face every time a mirror was in front of them.  Hey this was the FOG OF WAR YET TO COME and our esteemed leaders thought it best you did not know anything of the truth.. Net result? About a million dead Iraqi's with maybe 80% of them dead only because of being stuck in a place with no escape. Lets NOT forget our brave soldiers who had been shot up with patriotic reasoning's for serving over there.. and being disconnected from any connection to reality by the guys at the top. Controlling what a person perceives as reality by using false information is the darkest of dark arts. 

I am not claiming that disinfo and propaganda are something that just started in the last 10 years.. But as the net came of age in the early 2000s the content was increasingly contaminated on purpose and the delivery was now on steroids.. So much so that it takes as MUCH WORK NOW to mine useful information from the net as it used to take to produce good content. 

Here is what I have been witness to.
Paid disinfo artists (yes PAID) produce content that is intended to misdirect the curious into ONLY dead end conclusions.
For every 10 web sites that deal with genuine truth 100 have sprouted up like kudzu to choke off any ray of sunlight reaching your mind.
This disinfo fog most certainly extends well beyond the realm of conspiracy theory and bleeds like a stuck pig on EVERY THING ELSE. 

A very INTENDED consequence of this river of bullshit is to make you BELIEVE that everything on the net is a lie. Mission accomplished if you get so frustrated that you stop asking questions.  Do you wonder how it was that so many trillions of your future tax payments were STOLEN back in 2008 and NOBODY has gone to jail who did this? Bernie Madoff does not count..  he stole from the other thieves. 

It is an honor to be like a sherpa to you..  as someone who knows the way to the top and found the path before the fog set in.

BELOW IS WHAT HAPPENS IN A FOG. What has happened to our country is a LOT like this. 
I was about 10-15 minutes early .. I drove up this mountain interstate pass at 50 plus without being able to see more than a few feet past my hood. I only knew where the road was by tailgating the next guy close enough to read the inspection sticker on the plate in front of me. ..I knew the road very well which helped a LOT.  Slowing down was NOT an option.. In fact one person slowing down out of fear was almost certainly the crash catalyst.. I heard about what happened behind me a few minutes after the fact..
