ARE WE HAVING FUN YET??

Saturn and Pluto are close to being trined (120 degrees) in the sky as of this writing which many assume to be somewhat positive... but Saturn is in Leo and has recently , is now, or soon will be, passing over the natal Pluto position of the entire baby boom generation. Baby boomers with Pluto located in Leo were born from 1938 to1958. This is a VERY difficult transit even if Pluto sits well in your natal chart and one that should be viewed as an invitation from the universe to take a look back at the last 30 years and what lessons (consequences) might be in play related to our generational (and personal) actions 30 years ago. Saturn takes 29 -30 years to complete a full revolution by transit. As astrologers know the HARD angles at 0. 90. 180. and 270 degrees are the max stress periods. So during the 30 year Saturn to Pluto cycle there are 4 periods when Saturn Pluto is going to tear you a new one no matter if you know about it or not.
Pluto may have been demoted by astronomers but astrologers who work with this planet know that Pluto is one of the most powerful influences they deal with. The natal influence on a birth chart is huge in itself but experiencing a transit BY Pluto to a sensitive natal planet OR a having a transit from a planet like Saturn to afflict natal Pluto makes the argument about whether Pluto is a planet a VERY moot point indeed to any astrologer. A Pluto transit is often about as fun as being hit by a 2x4 for a year or two. By nature Saturn is the second most difficult planet to deal with and natal Pluto being the most deeply psychological point in any birth chart makes it a life changing transit at any angle. Therefore the transit from Saturn to our generational natal Pluto is the most difficult of all possible combinations. Saturn will hit a particular spot in the zodiac THREE times due to retrogrades so the effect lasts almost one year.
One thing I do know is the Pluto in Leo boomers were a wild bunch "back in the day" before Saturn visited this spot. I think also that MANY of us compromised our integrity back in 76 or 77 slipping into the matrix of suburban life. In my case I got married for the wrong reason and this mistake has had negative consequences to this very day. I think it would be wise for the boomers to reflect on what happened back then when Saturn was here before and see if the same sort of integrity challenge is being laid out for you AGAIN in the last few months or now or just ahead. It may very well have to do with sitting in front of the TEEVEE getting fat and not considering what has happened to this country recently as effecting them personally.
This is going to effect EVERY ONE of the boomers. No exceptions. Those who don't understand what is about to
happen to them need to read this link very carefully. I take what I see
here as the older boomers are planning to screw everyone who is coming behind
them.

During the last hard aspect from Saturn to the boomers natal Pluto in 2000 it took the stock market out of play for retirement planning (for most) and this conjunction occurring now is going to take another hunk out of whatever retirement expectation all but the oldest boomers think they have coming to them. Not a surprise that the retrace rally off the 2002 lows will be running it's course before Saturn ends his visit to Leo. When the boomers begin to think their retirement account full of tech stocks is coming back enough to have a glimmer of hope it probably marks the top of the retrace. Decisions being made on many levels during this transit period are going to have long lasting effects.
AND YES the housing bubble problem is just starting to be in play now too.

Three sets of boomers based on this Saturn transit. Three different situations.
ONE... Early boomers born in the late 30s into the late 40s got clobbered by Saturn starting early in mid 2005 and escaped from hell around this past summer and are only now getting past the effect. W was one of that group. Consider yourself lucky if you are around 60 years old now because those in power are your own kind... or maybe you are part of the problem yourself?? This may be the last group of Americans that will have any retirement at all.
TWO.... 1950-1953 boomers with natal Pluto around 20 degrees of Leo are next up. The July 2006 passage of Saturn back over it's retrograde degree at 11 Leo in July 2006 marked the start of this period of adversity for that group lasting into June 2007.. The August 2006 astro and the election results this year are sure to have a VERY strong effect on this group of which I am a part. I can report that Saturn is exactly sitting on my Pluto as I write this and it is NOT FUN.
The group born with Pluto near 25 degrees Leo in 1953 into 1955 will be especially sensitive in December 2006 when Saturn hits a retro station at 25 of Leo and sits there for a month. This group of boomers born just after me in 52 will be especially hard hit then but they seem to be getting off a little more lightly in 2007 than the ones in my early 50s group overall. Maybe a reason is the 53 to 55s are way less politically aware as a group so they face less angst over what has happened recently. They may also be a little better positioned to weather the 2008-2011 period.
THREE.... Very late boomers born from 1955 going into the tail end of Pluto in Leo in1958 will be having this Saturn Pluto conjunction start in September 2007. This group is the cusp of the Pluto in Virgo GENXERS and may be included in a the group visit to hell for the Pluto in Virgos lasting into 2009. . The Pluto in Virgos will be the ones who actually take the full brunt of the 2008 - 2011 astro while an afflicted Saturn in Virgo is blasted by hard angles from Uranus and Pluto as a tag team. This should not be a surprise because the Pluto in Virgos as a group has been operating in a weak position behind the dominant Pluto in Leos their whole lives. They are way more in debt than the Leo's and have a much more leveraged position in real estate than the Pluto in Leo's who are passing their overpriced homes over to this group en mass already and will be very active doing this in the pre fall 2007 period. In fact the Pluto in Leo's may be unloading so much real estate that they will crater the housing market in 2007. I sympathize with the late Leos and Pluto in Virgos but also see that they were lax and did not pick up the baton the older boomers dropped in their lap back in the late 1970's.

Astrologers are also people too but people just happen to be able to know when these transits are happening to themselves and for how long they will last.. At times this knowledge might even feel like being cursed because no matter how expert we are at interpretation of astrology the effect is not something we can do much about but live through it. Saturn Pluto combo is max pain. My natal Pluto is actually in a spot in my birth chart that is "not bad" and all I can say to anyone with a much worse natal Pluto than mine is I send out whatever empathy I can to you. .
